E-shop with delivery based on cart contents

For Centrum Fasád, we designed and developed from scratch a website that combines bespoke exterior projects with a fully fledged e-shop. Payment and delivery adapt to what the customer has in the cart.

At a glance

The Centrum Fasád offer ranges from large construction solutions to products a customer adds to the cart in a few seconds. That very difference shaped the whole architecture of the website.

Client website

Two paths on one website

Centrum Fasád does not sell everything the same way. Facades and larger projects need a consultation and an individual offer, while many outdoor products can be chosen and bought directly in the e-shop. The website therefore guides visitors from the start according to what they are dealing with.

The brief

From the facade to the last detail of the terrace

Instead of one universal sales procedure, we created a system in which each type of offer has its own natural path.

01 / 03 Catalogue

Many products without chaos

The e-shop has several categories, different product types and filters that help visitors narrow the offer down to what they are looking for. So it was not just about creating a few product cards — the structure had to stay usable even with a broader catalogue.

We designed and developed the whole e-shop and also did the initial catalogue fill. After handover, the client manages products, prices and orders in the admin on their own.

Business outcome

The client received an e-shop whose content they can keep expanding and managing without touching the website itself.

02 / 03 Checkout

One purchase for a person or a company

An order has to work just as naturally for a person buying equipment for their own terrace as for a company. The checkout therefore allows purchasing as a private individual or as a business.

For a company purchase, the customer adds the company ID (IČO), a VAT ID (IČ DPH) if they have one, and a billing address. Payment is made online through Stripe and the order details are also used for invoicing.

We did not add a separate, complicated B2B process where none was needed. A business customer goes through the same purchase and only adds the details their order requires.

Business outcome

One checkout covers both regular and company orders without building two separate purchasing systems.

For a company purchase, the order is completed with company and billing details.
03 / 03 Delivery

The whole cart decides the delivery method

The most interesting logic in the e-shop came from delivery. The range includes small accessories as well as large structures, so a single universal delivery method would make no sense.

Pickup at the showroom in Trenčín is always available and costs €0.

Packeta appears only when every product in the cart allows it. The price is calculated automatically from the country, the type of pickup point and the weight of the order. Before the Stripe payment, the server recalculates the price once more from the database. The integration uses the Packeta REST API and webhooks for shipment statuses.

TopTrans works differently. It appears only for products that allow this kind of delivery, but its price is not added to the order automatically. After the order is placed, a staff member calculates it individually and the customer receives an additional invoice or a Stripe Payment Link.

If products with no shared carrier end up in one order, pickup remains available.

Business outcome

The e-shop never offers a delivery method that makes no sense for a given combination of products, and it automates the price wherever it can be calculated reliably.

Pickup at the showroom in Trenčín stays free of charge.

With compatible cart contents, Packeta appears with an automatically calculated price.

With TopTrans, the shipping price is not included in the order and is calculated individually.

In the admin, the client sees orders including the payment method, delivery and current status.

Result

One website for two ways of selling

  1. Centrum Fasád received a brand-new website with an e-shop, a broad catalogue, filters, a cart, online payment and its own delivery logic. The delivery also included the initial product fill and an admin in which the client manages products, prices and orders on their own after handover.

  2. We completed the project in 18 business days, and the price was €1,450.
