A machinery catalogue that changes with the offer

RC Kosačky Slovensko moved from classified ads and social media to its own sales website. Instead of an online store, we built a catalogue the owner can update himself from his phone and that takes an interested visitor straight to an inquiry about a specific machine.

At a glance

The RC Kosačky Slovensko offer changes with every imported machine. So the website was not built as a finished brochure but as a catalogue the owner fills in himself and one that leads a prospect to an inquiry without a cart.

What ITgale did
Design and development of a multi-page website with a Sanity catalogue, a simple admin on the client's own domain, photo and video processing before upload, an inquiry form with the machine preselected, WhatsApp and phone as fallbacks
Client website

One owned place for the current offer

Visitors no longer have to search through ads and social-media posts to find the current machines. The website presents the offer, parameters, price, photos and video, and lets a visitor express interest directly from a specific machine. The website remains a catalogue — the actual sale continues through personal communication with the owner.

The catalogue, the how-it-works page, the seller’s introduction and the inquiry form one short buying story.
The home page introduces the machinery straight in the terrain.
The offer combines media, parameters and an inquiry on each machine.
Remote control keeps the operator out of the machine’s path.

The brief

From the terrain straight into the catalogue

With this type of machinery, what matters is what the machine can actually handle. The website therefore relies on real machines and field media rather than generic illustrations. Media was also one of the most demanding parts of the project — every shot had to be selected and prepared to work on the website.

01 / 04 Admin

A changing offer should not wait for a developer

The offer changes frequently, so depending on the website supplier for every new mower would make little sense. Alongside the full Sanity Studio, we created a simple administration interface on the client's own domain. The owner can see his machines, add, edit or remove them, and manage the order of photos and videos.

The administration reads directly from the stored data. After a successful save, the relevant catalogue cache is invalidated so the change appears on the public website at the next load. If the CMS is temporarily unavailable or empty, the public website has a typed catalogue fallback in the repository. An administration-layer outage therefore does not have to mean an empty offer for visitors.

Business outcome

The owner can keep the offer current without contacting the website supplier for routine changes.

The owner sees the offer and basic aggregated indicators in one place.

Editing the offer is built for everyday use, not for a CMS editor.

Photos and videos are managed together with the offer.

Sanity Studio remains the full editorial layer in the background.
02 / 04 Media

The phone does not have to upload every original at full size

New footage is often shot directly in the field, on a phone. Photos are therefore reduced in the browser before upload. For video, a cover frame is created and the clip is compressed to a more practical resolution before sending. If it is still too large for a normal server request, it temporarily goes through Vercel Blob and is then moved into Sanity.

Lower-resolution source videos are never stretched to full screen on the public website. They use a smaller framed treatment, grain, colour treatment and a caption so their technical limits do not look like an interface defect. In the catalogue, cover images load first while scrolling rather than the full clips.

Business outcome

Ordinary phone photos and videos can be managed within the same workflow as the rest of the offer.

The owner’s orchard clip gets a smaller frame and a caption; weaker video is never stretched full width.
03 / 04 Inquiry

The website does not copy e-commerce when the sale is personal

A visible price does not mean the buyer needs a cart and online payment. For this business, it makes more sense to select the right machine and then speak with the seller. The button on a machine therefore opens the inquiry with that model already selected.

The form is validated on both client and server and includes a hidden field for simple bot protection. If sending fails, the same data can be used in a prepared WhatsApp message; the final fallback remains a phone call.

Business outcome

The visitor journey ends in the channels the seller actually uses, without an e-commerce layer this sales process does not need.

The selected model carries over into the form; a call button stays right below it.
04 / 04 Design

The design itself shows what the company sells

The main graphic motif comes from cut and uncut grass. Parallel lines at a 14° angle shift from dense to sparse, while the same angle repeats in clipped corners. The motif continues in the home-page navigation, which is designed so that a band is visually “mown” on hover, touch or focus.

A warm paper background, green and rust accents let the machinery and photography stand out without a black interface. Instead of a generic technology look, the site uses a visual gesture that can be understood before the visitor starts reading specifications.

Business outcome

The website has a recognisable visual principle directly connected to the client's product.

Hatching at 14° recalls cut and uncut grass.
Result

An owned catalogue instead of selling through ads and social media

  1. Before the project, the client sold only through classified ads and social media. The new website gave him one owned place for the current range, technical information and a large volume of photo/video material that he can update continuously. It also created a standalone landing page for advertising and a clear route from a specific machine to personal contact.

  2. The project took 8 days and cost €690. Most of the work went into selecting and processing the photo and video material.

“I was extremely satisfied with the creation of the new website — all my requirements were met. I recommend them.”
